Meet Brian - your mentor coach!

Hi, I’m Brian. In 2005, I hired a coach to help me reach some sales goals. I had no idea how much that one decision would change my career and life!

Two years later, I decided to become a coach myself. Now that I've been an executive coach for well over a decade, I get to use the power of coaching every single day.

While coaching can be used in so many different ways, the most common way any professional can use it is to help others perform better in the things they do every single day. This is performance coaching, and it will change the way you manage and lead others. You can use it to help others become more resourceful and accountable.

I'm thrilled to share what I know and practice with you, so you can bring the power of performance coaching to everyday moments with your team.

Performance Coaching is PERFECT for you if...

    • You're committed to helping your team improve their day to day work.

    • You want to quickly equip yourself with the skills you need to immediately coach others on the job.

    • You want to help others move their challenges forward (without having to hold their hand).

    • This course is NOT for you if:

    • You need Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. (Sorry, we don’t offer them!)

    • You're seeking more comprehensive coaching skills. If you want to learn more in-depth coaching skills, we recommend you check out Sarah's Break the Dependence program. If you're taking on a formal role as a career coach in your organization, we recommend you check out our most comprehensive program, The Coach Development Series.

If you’ve made it this far, you owe it to yourself and your team to ask yourself these questions:

    • What might be possible for you when you feel confident bringing performance coaching to your team's day to day challenges?

    • What might be possible for your team when you believe in, support and challenge them through performance coaching?

    • What might be possible for your organization when the people you lead are more engaged, confident and resourceful?

What people usually ask before signing up for Performance Coaching:

    • I'm already so busy. How can I fit this in?

We know you're busy! The video lessons are short and sweet (3-12 minutes each). The real magic happens after you watch the lesson, when you reflect on your learning and practice the related exercises. The good news is, you can practice the exercises in your day to day work, so the additional investment of time is minimal and should pay long-term dividends quickly with consistent practice.

    • I’m afraid of signing up for this and then not having the time or energy required to get the results.

We understand that accountability can be a challenge for self-paced programs. Why not sign up with a friend for some outside accountability? You could complete the program together and share what you’re learning with one another. If you’re ready for the additional investment, working with a coach can also help you dig deeper and bring another level of accountability and support...plus, you’d get additional coaching insights from your coach! (We’d be honored to coach you!)

    • How does this course differ from Break the Dependence or The Coach Development Series?

All 3 programs will teach you professional coaching skills, but each does so at a different level. Performance Coaching is an entry level course that will teach you a quick, simple way to use coaching on the job, every day. Break the Dependence is a great follow-on or mid-level course, that will teach you more coaching skills at a slightly deeper level (e.g., mindset, listening and questions) so you can layer these skills into your day to day work. The Coach Development Series is our most comprehensive program designed for those who want to dive more deeply into coaching and use it more formally for the career development of others.

    • I want to start an in-house coaching program at my organization. Will this program help me with that?

Although this program could be a helpful tool to support the development of your in-house coaches as part of your program, the Coach Development Series is designed for this purpose. Additionally, there is so much more involved in implementing a coaching program than this. We wrote a (free!) toolkit to support you - A toolkit for possibility: Creating a coaching culture at your organization. We love partnering with organizations to create coaching cultures and would be excited to explore what you want to create and how we could help you. Reach out to Sarah Elliott ([email protected]) if you’d like to schedule a conversation about this. You can also download the coaching toolkit from our website at www.intend2lead.com/consulting.
